HOW MUCH SHOULD I TIP THE DRIVER/GUIDES? WHEN?
The normal tip for your driver is a minimum of 10% of the cost of the car hire while the guide should normally be given between 300 to 1000 Indian rupees. However, the amount should reflect your own personal experience with either the Guide or Driver. You should tip at the end of your time with them.

 

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Western clothing is far more acceptable all over India nowadays, so you can basically wear anything you wish but we would highly recommend covering yourself more in rural areas to respect traditional beliefs.

 

IF I DON’T LIKE INDIAN FOOD WILL I FIND WESTERN FOOD?
You will find many different western food stores and many local restaurants offering western food. Your private driver will find you the best places to eat western food.

 

DO I NEED MALARIA PROTECTION?
During the season between October to March you will not need any malaria protection if traveling in Northern India, but I would highly recommend that you bring Deet based insect/mosquito repellent if travelling outside this period or in other parts of India.

 

WILL I BE ABLE TO FIND WESTERN TOILETS DURING MY TRIP?
Yes, all your hotels will have western toilets and the majority of people living in cities nowadays also prefer using western toilets. In more rural areas you may still find Indian toilets in restaurants and stops. It is always useful to carry some toilet paper with you.

 

DO YOUR DRIVERS SPEAK ENGLISH?
Yes, all our drivers speak good English and you will find it easy to communicate with them.

 

DO YOUR CARS HAVE AIR CONDITIONING
Yes, all our cars have air conditioning.

 

WILL I HAVE WI-FI IN THE CAR/HOTELS?
Yes, most of your hotels will have wi-fi and for the car, at an extra cost, we will be very happy to provide you with a local sim card with enough data for your tour.

 

AM I GOING TO BE IN A GOOD SAFE CAR WITH NO BREAKDOWNS?
Yes, all our cars are regularly serviced and cleaned. In the unusual case that there is a problem with the car it will be replaced in the soonest possible time.

 

HOW MUCH WILL I NEED TO PAY IN ADVANCE AND WHEN AND HOW DO I MAKE THE FINAL PAYMENT?
We only require a small advance payment via Paypal and the rest can be paid at our office when you arrive in Delhi. We accept cash in Indian rupees, USD, EURO or your own local currency (please check in advance if your currency is exchangeable). You can also make the payment via credit card but in that case, there will be 5% extra charge.


WHAT IS REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?
Our tours are fully refundable if cancelled 2 weeks in advance. We will provide you with the voucher of refund amount and it can be used for your future trip in India or Slovenia with Adventure Holiday Tours.

 

DO YOU ARRANGE BOOSTER SEATS FOR KIDS?
Yes, on request we can arrange car booster seats for kids. This will cost extra.

 

DO YOU BOOK HOTELS FOR CUSTOMERS?
Yes, we can arrange hotels within your requested budget.

 

CAN I BOOK MY OWN HOTELS?
Yes, you can book your own hotels but please check to make sure that the hotels you choose have parking and a driver’s dormitory. Most importantly check the location as sometimes online they state it’s in Delhi, but it may be up to 40kms away from the center. This will be very inconvenient, and you will spend lots of time in traffic.

 

AM I SAFE TRAVELING AS A SINGLE WOMAN IN INDIA?
Yes, you will be very safe with our private driver in India. All our private drivers are family men and will show you respect and take very good care of you. They will make you feel very comfortable when you are on tour with us. We have many single women travelling with us and they all rate us very positively.
